Best Use of Taxpayers’ Money
Schools

Paying taxes might not be a favorite activity, but readers feel using their tax dollars to fund public education is money well spent. Voted as the “Best Use of Taxpayer’s Money,” the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District has more than 74,000 residents and includes all or portions of the communities of North St. Paul, Maplewood, Oakdale, Lake Elmo, Landfall, Pine Springs and Woodbury. The district is home to nine elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, an early childhood education center, an alternative learning center and a senior center. The district also offers quality community education programs for residents of all ages.
District 622 prides itself as a “community collaborative dedicated to educating and empowering all learners to excel in our changing world,” and teachers and administrators are always striving to live up to that mission. That fact is evident by the district’s regular national and state-level recognition for student achievement in academics, arts, community service and athletics.
