Arrests
Police stopped a 50-year-old man with defective, “pull-me-over” brake lights Nov. 19 at Snelling and Larpenteur avenues and also arrested him for driving after license revocation, giving police a false name, expired motor vehicle permit and no proof of insurance.

Failure to signal a turn at Snelling and Larpenteur avenues Nov. 19 turned this driver into a pedestrian. The 25-year-old was also arrested for driving after license suspension and no insurance. Her car was impounded.

A 22-year-old man hiding behind an illegal window tint Nov. 20 at Snelling and Hoyt avenues was also charged with driving after license revocation.

More defective brake lights at Roselawn Avenue and Holton Street Nov. 21. The 26-year-old woman was also arrested for driving after license revocation and no insurance.

Lauderdale

Arrest
Stopped Nov. 20 for running a red light at Hwy. 280 and Broadway Street N.E., the 23-year-old man was also charged with driving after license suspension and no proof of insurance.

Theft
The 27-year-old woman left her vehicle running Nov. 21 in the 1800 block of Walnut Street to warm it up and now it’s gone.

Little Canada

Arrests
A homeowner heard noises in her apartment in the 100 block of Demont Street the morning of Nov. 22 and called 911. Hearing that, the suspect ran to his residence just a block away, where he laid low until he was discovered. The suspect, a 32-year-old man who was charged with felony burglary and was also wanted on a warrant for his arrest, was booked at the jail.

A stabbing on the dance floor of a Rice Street bar at closing time Nov. 30 sent bouncers on a foot chase across the parking lot, chasing the stabbing suspect who had fled the scene. The suspect was tackled in the lot by a bouncer and arrested by deputies assisted by Roseville Police. A small folding knife was recovered in the lot. The victims, a 31-year-old man from St. Paul and a 27-year-old man from Brooklyn Park were taken to Regions Hospital with stab wounds. The altercation began when the girlfriend of one of the men reported that the “[suspect] was hitting on me.” The 24-year-old Minneapolis man was jailed on two counts of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault in the third degree.

Theft
Gold, diamond and ruby bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings were taken Nov. 20 from a residence on Allen Avenue. No forced entry was found and investigators have a suspect in mind in the felony theft valued at $10,000.

A 57-year-old man, suspicious of his cat sitter, returned home to Ontario Road from an international trip Nov. 28 to find he was missing $500 in cash, 32 Minnesota Wild tickets, two Minnesota Wild jackets and some beer. His car had also been driven and was damaged. The cat was fine. The victim’s suspicions confirmed, a 37-year-old Coon Rapids man remains under investigation.
