Roseville Community Education catering to boomers
Roseville Area Schools Community Education is pleased to announce it is launching PrimeTime, a new program to better meet the needs of our community members. PrimeTime will feature classes and opportunities specifically for recently or soon-to-be retired community members.
“PrimeTime will give people age 50-plus a way to meet others who are also exploring what they want to do in the second half of their lives,” said Roseville Area Senior Program Coordinator Janell Wampler.
PrimeTime will offer classes, opportunities, and experiences geared towards those who are age 50-plus.
Roseville Community Education is hosting two inaugural PrimeTime events; a dinner theatre excursion at the Fridley Community Center Theatre, and concert and dessert event with the Dan Musselman Trio.
• Dinner Theatre Excursion
On Feb. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m., join PrimeTime at a performance of Barefoot in the Park, performed by the Fridley Community Theatre at the Fridley Community Center Theatre. The show follows newlyweds Corie and Paul Bratter in their tiny, walk-up apartment in New York City. Free-spirited Corie and straight-as-an-arrow Paul soon discover that adjusting to marriage isn’t_as easy as they expected. Tickets for this PrimeTime excursion are $25, which includes the show and a catered dinner. Deadline to sign up for this outing is on Wednesday, Jan. 15. To register, call 651-604-3770 or visit https://roseville.thatscommunityed.com.
• Concert and Dessert
On April 16, treat yourself to classic tunes performed by one of the Twin Cities most talented musicians. Dan Musselman has been lauded as one of the most gifted and talented musical artists in the state. He has performed at some of the biggest music establishments in the Twin Cities, including the Artists’ Quarter and the Dakota Jazz Club. Dan has been playing piano since he was 5 years old, and is now a celebrated composer, jazz pianist, and college music instructor. Tickets to see the Dan Musselman Trio with PrimeTime are $15 per person and include two sets by the Dan Musselman Trio with a dessert intermission. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Fridley Community Center. Register by April 9. To register, call 651-604-3770 or visit https://roseville.thatscommunityed.com.
