Roseville Community Education expanding senior fitness plans
Older adults in the Roseville area now have more choices when it comes to staying fit and healthy.
Starting Jan. 1, Roseville Community Education will be partnering with two health plan fitness programs: SilverSneakers and Silver&Fit.
Silver&Fit and SilverSneakers are fitness programs provided through many health insurance companies allowing seniors to participate in fitness classes for little or no cost.
While Roseville Community Education has partnered with SilverSneakers for more than 10 years, this is the first year it has partnered with Silver&Fit.
“We chose to partner with Silver&Fit in addition to SilverSneakers because we wanted to make sure we were giving as many older adults as possible the opportunity to join a fitness class for little or no cost to that person,” said Cyndi Arneson, Community Education Coordinator.
Older adults who are interested in participating in Silver&Fit or SilverSneakers should contact their insurance provider to see if they are eligible for the benefit. All daytime fitness classes are open to Silver&Fit and SilverSneakers members, including lap swim and open swim.
For questions regarding Silver&Fit and SilverSneakers, please contact Cyndi Arneson at 651-604-3670 or at Cynthia.firstname.lastname@example.org.
