Shoreview Community Garden Club
The Shoreview Community Garden Club Meets Wednesday March 5. “A raingarden for your yard” will be held in The Shoreview Room at the Shoreview Community Center located at 4580 Victoria St. N. from 7 - 9 p.m. on March 5. It is sponsored by the Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District and is free to the public but registration is required by Feb. 28. Lake Owasso Garden Club
The Lake Owasso Garden Club will discuss “Kitchen Gardens” with Marty Berglund on Monday, March 10 at 7 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of the Way, 3382 Lexington Ave. North in Shoreview. All are welcome.
The St. Anthony Band Boosters will host a pancake breakfast on Sunday, March 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the St. Anthony Village High School, 3303 33rd Ave N.E. Menu: Pancakes, sausage, coffee, tea, orange juice, milk. Featuring live music by the eigth grade jazz band, high school Jazz I and Jazz 2. A fundraising raffle and auction will include chair massages for $1 a minute, and performances by the Patriots Marching Band and Jazz 1. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for ages 5 to 12, (children 5 and under eat free).
55+ Driver Improvement
The Minnesota Highway Safety Center offers a 55+ Driver Improvement Course on Mar. 6 (4 Hour Refresher Course) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hope Christian Church, 4911 Hodgson Rd., Shoreview. The course is open to the public; pre-registration is requested. Participants will be provided the latest information in regards to driver safety, new laws, and vehicle technology. People age 55 and older who complete the course qualify for a 10 percent discount on their auto insurance premiums for three years, according to Minnesota law. The fee for the four-hour refresher course is $20 and the eight-hour course is $24. First time participants must complete the initial eight hours of training and a four hour refresher class every three years to maintain the 10 percent discount.
St. Odilia presents “The Music Man”

Encore wind ensemble concert
Please join us for an afternoon of music, “On the Lighter Side,” including works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Percy Grainger, Gustav Holst, and Hoagie Carmichael. This concert is free and open to the public. The concert will be held Sunday, March 9 at 3 p.m. at St. Anthony High School Auditorium, 3303 33rd Ave N.E.
St. Anthony Band-O-Rama
Enjoy the musical talents of the St. Anthony 6th - 12th grade bands. The St. Anthony MS/HS Band-O-Rama will be held on Thursday, March 13 at 7 p.m. in the St. Anthony High School gym. Admission is free.
Lectures in Women’s Studies
The annual Susan Draper White Lectures in Women’s Studies are being presented March 10 and 11 at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in New Brighton. This year’s speaker is Rev. Dr. Wil Gafney of The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.
Buttermasters’ Toastmasters Club
