Dr. Stephen Manweiler of Roseville named Executive Director of the MMCD
Stephen Manweiler, Ph.D., of Roseville has been named Executive Director of the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District (MMCD).
Dr. Manweiler was appointed to the position by the Metropolitan Mosquito Control Commission, the District’s governing body made up of commissioners from Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Scott, Ramsey and Washington Counties.
Dr. Manweiler has been with MMCD since 1997 and has served as the District’s Director of Operations and Technical Services since 2006. He holds a doctorate in entomology from UC Berkeley completed after his undergraduate studies in entomology at UC Riverside. Prior to joining MMCD, Dr. Manweiler worked in private industry on development of biological methods for controlling insect pests.
