Roseville massage therapist pleads guilty to criminal sexual conduct charges
Brandon Lee Palmer
On Wednesday, May 14, a former massage therapist admitted to groping several women during massages that took place at the now-closed Serene Body Therapy Health and Wellness Center that he owned on Snelling Avenue in Roseville between June 2011 and August 2012.
Brandon Lee Palmer, 32, of Minneapolis pleaded guilty to three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. Just a few weeks earlier, on April 29, a jury found him guilty of fourth- and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct in a fourth case involving another woman.
In total, 22 women came to police with allegations that Palmer had touched them inappropriately during massages. According to the criminal complaints, Palmer touched the women in the groin area and sometimes also forced them to touch his groin.
Palmer was charged in seven of those cases, but three will be dropped per the plea agreement.
However, if new victims come forward with complaints, prosecutors could pursue further charges.
According to the plea agreement, Palmer could face 10 yearsí worth of probation time, during which he would be banned from working as a massage therapist and must enter a sex-offender treatment program. Additionally, he will be required to register as a predatory offender.
Palmer is scheduled to be sentenced June 17. At that time, a judge will decide if he will serve any prison time.
