Kozlak's lives on
Boy Scout Bjorn Eggen snapped a photo of the former Kozlak's Royal Oak Restaurant on Hodgson Road in Shoreview July 12 in order to earn his photography merit badge. Although the restaurant has been closed for four months and the building subsequently razed, the sign still advertises the restaurant's renowned services. "I found this amusing," Eggen said.
The 3 1/2 acres of land are being converted into a senior housing development. At the time of the closure in March, the owners had expected to move to a new location and hoped to stay in Shoreview, but no relocation announcements have been made.
