Police investigating fatal shooting at Arden Hills Holiday station
A man was shot at a Holiday gas station in Arden Hills the morning of Monday, Aug. 11, and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Ramsey County Sheriff received a 911 call at about 8:40 a.m., and when police arrived at the gas station on Highway 96 near Interstate 35W, they found a white male who had been shot, according to Ramsey County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Sgt. John Eastham.
The man was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Eastham said two men arrived at the station together in the same 2011 dark colored BMW. The passenger exited the car, along with the driver, who shot the passenger, got back into the car, and fled west towards 35W.
Police are looking for the BMW, which has plate number 004EEY.
Eastham said that investigators believe the general public is not at risk at this time; however if they do encounter the BMW, they should not approach it and instead call 911.
"This is a pretty busy gas station at this time of the morning," Eastham said, adding that there were witnesses and that the gas station has video cameras. "No one else was involved in the incident; it was between these two men."
