Concordia Academy volleyball ranked 10th
The Class AA high school volleyball rankings were released last week and Concordia Academy landed in the top 10. The Beacons are ranked 10th to begin the season.
In 2013, Concordia compiled a record of 22-7-2 and finished second to St. Croix Lutheran in the Tri-Metro Conference standings. In the post-season, Concordia advanced to the Section 4AA semifinals, where it lost to eventual section champion Hill-Murray. The Pioneers begin the season ranked fifth in the state.
Among Concordia’s returning players is sophomore Erin Fallert, who had a successful summer playing with the Northern Lights 15-1 team. Northern Lights won a pair of national championships in tournaments in Orlando and Minneapolis in late June.
Concordia Academy opens the season on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. at Visitation School. It is the season and Tri-Metro Conference-opener for both teams.
