VOTE 2014 Local Elections & LIVE results 11-04

Government Television Network channel 16 is hosting an election night program featuring LIVE local election results for races in the Northeast communities starting at 8:30 PM on November 4.

92 KQRS-FM & South St. Paul VFW Fundraiser for MMAF 11-1

The South St. Paul VFW and KQRS-FM will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit Minnesotans' Military Appreciation Fund (MMAF) this Saturday, Nov. 1, from 8-10 p.m. MMAF is a non-profit whose mission is to say "thanks" in the form of grants to Minnesota service members and their families who are making sacrifices in defense of our freedoms in combat zones around the world. Come out to support MMAF and enjoy good food and drinks, music and raffle prizes.

South St. Paul welcomes all to Halloween get-together

The 13th Annual Great Halloween Get-together is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday,  Oct. 31, 2014 on Marie Avenue. Join the City of South St. Paul, area businesses and organizations to travel the transformed Marie Avenue starting at 7th Avenue to the 4th Avenue and back trick-and-treating the entire way. The event offers a safe and fun community-wide halloween celebration in South St. Paul. Last year, close to 2,500 youth and adults participated in the Annual Great Halloween Get-Together.

Large bonfire planned for Halloween in Mendota

The 2014 Halloween Bonfire is 7-9 p.m. Oct. 31 at Mendota Plaza. The community event includes free hotdogs and soda, compliments of Mendota Heights Fire Department. Paster Enterprises and Mendota Plaza merchants will be handing out free goodie bags.

The firefighters will build a large bonfire out of brush donated by community residents for all to enjoy.

Recycle your pumpkin — the Task Force way 1-3 p.m. Nov. 1 (the day after Halloween) at the South St. Paul High School Football Practice Field. Join the South St. Paul Mayor’s Youth Task Force and recycle your pumpkin. The task force has secured a catapult to toss your pumpkin to see how far it will fly.
