Valley Vine & Harvest Throwdown 10-11

Each fall, Canvas Health celebrates the bounty of the St. Croix River Valley harvest with an event that dazzles the taste buds. The Valley Vine & Harvest Throwdown is a competitive food and wine event featuring the area’s finest chefs. Proceeds benefit local mental health services and the state suicide prevention hotline.

Summer Safety Fair 5-31

Guardian Angels' Health & Wellness Ministry is hosting a Summer Safety Fair on Sunday, May 31 from 1-3pm in the lower parking lot. The afternoon will feature a Bike Safety Rodeo led by the Oakdale Police Department (bring bike & helmet) and information on ticks & Lyme disease, skin care and Cancer prevention, heat exhaustion and hydration, summer care for pets and basic first aid. Junior Master Gardeners - Ages 12 and under 5-30

The Master Gardeners of Washington County will be presenting a free gardening class for children ages 12 and under on May 30th at the Oakdale Discovery Center.

Learn techniques for growing your own flowers and vegetables, such as how to prepare seeds for planting, how deep to plant, how frequently to water, and other helpful secrets and tips. Decorate a flower pot, select the seeds to plant, and then bring your plant home to watch it grow!
