Straw Bale Gardens Education Day at the State Fair Grounds 4-26

This is a free event with free parking to be held from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, April 26th, at the State Fair Grounds.  Joel Karsten, a Roseville native and author of the NYT best selling book "Straw Bale Gardens" will offer short seminars at the top of  every hour, and will sign books.

North High presents 'The Proposal'

North High Drama rehearses the Neil Simon touching comedy about relationships and precious family gatherings. “The Proposal” recalls 1953, the last time the Hines family gathered at their retreat in the Poconos, a summer of romantic entanglements, intertwine nine characters’ lives one idyllic afternoon. Performances are April 3 and 4 at 7 p.m. and April 5 at 2 and 7 p.m.

Yoga Storytelling for ages 2-5 Apr. 26

Yoga comes to life in this storytelling-based class, where the group will craft a story while incorporating yoga poses, breathing and relaxation techniques. The class will enhance language development, fine and gross motor skills, mindfulness, spatial awareness and creativity.

Prohibition series kicks off at Maplewood Library

When they weren’t robbing Twin Cities banks more than 80 years ago, gangsters would kick back at Keller Golf Course in Maplewood.
They could be spotted not only by the expensive clothing they wore but the fact each man had two golf bags: one stuffed with golf clubs and the other filled with firearms.
As one would expect, they tipped their caddies well.
