I read with great dismay, and a whole lot of fear and disgust, your article about the manual of guidelines (“Lake Elmo design manual focused on small-town charm,” Dec. 4), that the Lake Elmo City Council put forth.
During this holiday season, the Oakdale City Council, the Economic Development Commission, and the Oakdale Business and Professional Association all strongly encourage you to visit our local community businesses for all of your shopping, dining, and professional service needs.
Members of the Stillwater Area School Board unanimously agreed on the levy question that will be on the ballot Tuesday, November 5. We stand united and ask you, the voters, to stand with us to continue the excellence of Stillwater area schools.
After hearing from our community, the board made four key decisions:

On July 16, I had the honor of celebrating the opening of Valley Cartage in Lake Elmo.
Valley Cartage is a Hudson-based family owned trucking company that moved its logistics operations to the Wipfli building in Lake Elmo.
