Letter: ‘Work ethics, integrity, honesty’

I am writing in support of our SD43B State Representative Leon Lillie for his re-election.  I have known Leon as a friend and a Legislator, and he is a man of high work ethics, integrity and honesty.  Leon has worked tirelessly as a Legislator in our SD43B.

Letter: ‘Will open opportunities’

Voters who want to stop the flagrant waste of millions of taxpayers’ dollars on stadiums for billionaires, more millions for unneeded office buildings, even more millions for “toy trains” that run small businesses out of business, etc, etc, should vote for conservative, Justice Whitethorn.

Letter: ‘TRANSPARENT and OPEN GOVERNMENT’

I have the expectation that the ‘candidate information’ I submitted for publication to your reporter would be printed as written, not edited and not have stereotyping disparaging comments added.

I appreciated the precautions presented in “Nightmare on Trick-or-Treat Street.” Thank you for this great article. Trick-or-treating is risky business.

Letter: Dave Zick for “the common good”

Elect Dave Zick to the North St. Paul city council because he has proven over and over again that he has the best interests of the city at heart. I know this because I served on the city council with Dave and worked with him in many other capacities. He was the fire chief and the emergency preparedness director. He still runs the North St. Paul food shelf which helps hundreds of needy residents.

Letter: Stout: ‘real local vision’

In a letter to the editor entitled “Mailbox invaded” the writer asserted that independent expenditures could be stopped by House candidate Stacey Stout.  By law, a candidate is not allowed to have any coordination with a group who provides an independent expenditure. If Stout had any input on third party mailers she would be breaking the law, so please don’t mislead folks and blame her for groups critical of Peter Fischer’s record.
