They might not be in front of the camera, but Rick Montour and Vanessa Van Alstine help CTV North Suburbs’ cable access television network continue to run smoothly.
Collegues said Montour and Van Alstine have dedicated countless hours and efforts to the network, which relies heavily on its volunteers to help produce and maintain its community-run programs.

New Brighton approves road salt storage facility, with restrictions

Plans for a road salt storage and distribution operation in northeast New Brighton were approved in modified form by the city council May 26.
The project had drawn scrutiny from residents and elected officials alike, who questioned how the salt would be hauled and housed in order to prevent spills.

Highway 96 bridge construction
