Mendota Heights drug deal-shooting investigation comes to a close
Three young men are facing felony charges in connection with the robbery of two of their acquaintances at gunpoint at a Mendota Heights residence Thursday, May 21.
According to the criminal complaint, two victims, referred to in a police statement as B.J.P. and B.J.S., were called to deliver illegal drugs to the townhouse of 21-year-old Hamel Forbes Hartinger on Ivy Hill Drive. The suspects were reportedly waiting at the house with the intention of robbing B.J.P. and B.J.S. of any drugs and money the two might have had on hand.

Last week, a bill to designate a section of Dodd Road in Mendota Heights as “Officer Scott Patrick Memorial Highway” was unanimously passed by the state House and Senate.

The law was then signed by Gov. Mark Dayton Tuesday, May 19.
