An effort to nab vandals who spray-painted racial slurs, sexual images and expletives on vehicles, homes and mailboxes in June has been reinvigorated, due to yet another crude image splashed on a Mendota Heights home.
The West St. Paul Police Department has increased patrols in areas recently hit with a rash of thefts and burglaries, and the city issued an alert online Sept. 12 advising residents of the spike in crime.
The man initially charged in two counties in connection with the July 30 murder of Mendota Heights officer Scott Patrick and the shootout with police after a massive manhunt has been indicted by a multi-county grand jury.
