The West St. Paul Police Department is investigating two recent commercial burglaries, where some cash was taken after hours.
Due to an alarm call, officers were summoned to BYO Burger, 1221 S. Robert St., at 9:35 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 20, according to Lt. Brian Sturgeon.
“The office was ransacked, and some cash was stolen,” he said.
'Short manhunt' preceded arrest
A West St. Paul man allegedly slashed his girlfriend with steak knives during an argument at their apartment, and was arrested nearby hours later with blood on his face and arms, according to court documents filed April 24.
Raymond Everett Hill, 35, is facing a felony charge for second-degree assault in the attack.
A West St. Paul man has been charged for allegedly pointing a BB gun at another driver in an incident of road rage April 1.
Joshua T. Tipcke, 27, is facing felony charges, according to the criminal complaint filed Tuesday, April 8, in Dakota County District Court.
