Fairway Collision and Automotive: Much more than just a body shop
Fairway Collision and Automotive
125 E. County Rd. F Vadnais Heights, MN 55127
Since 1975, when Mike and Jane Lund first opened Fairway Collision and Automotive, the company has built a reputation for quality work and strong customer service while also finding time to play a vital role in civic life in Vadnais Heights.
That commitment to the community inspired the staff at Fairway to begin working with Lifeworks, a company that helps people with disabilities find jobs. Fairway currently employs one person through Lifeworks, and is in the process of hiring another.
“We believe very strongly in serving the community,” Pam Caruth says.
With Mike and Jane enjoying retirement after decades of hard work, the business is now run by their three children — Pam Caruth, and twin brothers Kevin and Cary Lund. All three began working at the family business when they were in high school.
But the family bonds don’t end there. Collin Lund has taken over as parts manager, becoming the third generation to work at Fairway Collision and Automotive, and Connor Lund recently joined the team to assist in the estimating department.
It’s the fair way
The family named their business for two reasons: First, because it fit within their philosophy of doing business the fair way, and second, because the 125 E. County Road F location was at one time a threehole golf course.
As its name suggests, body work is a part of the business and the company has always been very quick to embrace and utilize emerging technologies. Things like paintless dent repair offer customers an effective and affordable way to get rid of dings, dents and hailstone marks.
Just how good is the work at Fairway Collision and Automotive? All body-damage repairs are covered by a “Guarantee for Life” policy for as long as a customer owns the car.
“Our customers are very loyal, I would say over 95% come back to us. so we always try to do things that reward their loyalty to us,” Pam says.
And don’t forget, if you’re getting work done at Fairway and your insurance doesn’t cover the cost of a rental car, they have vehicles available for just $10 per day.
When it comes to making life as easy as possible for their customers, Fairway also offers: towing with their own tow truck, mobile estimates, free pickup and delivery, shuttle service, and a heated drive-thru estimating bay.
While Fairway can handle any body repair tasks, it’s much more than a mere body shop. With two full-time mechanics on staff, customers can drop off their vehicle for an oil change, brake repair or replacement, or even an engine replacement. “We truly are your one-stopshop,” Pam says. “Our reputation for comprehensive and high-quality work is what has kept us going for all these years.”
